Im not comparing tv services because Century Links TV service is actually Dish.  If you really want a comparison on that.. TV Channels are a difference.  HD is a difference and Dish you have to pay per reciever/tv.  Also this comparisson is mostly for home users.  Some of this does apply to businesses.  If you have questions.. you'll just have to contact me.

Century Tel merged with Embarq a few months ago to form Century Link.  When it was still labeled Embarq Internet every day was semi questionable.  One day per every 4 months you had an entire day or part of a day when Embarq users would not have Internet service in this area. Atlantic Broadband has never been down for the entire last year until today.  Today they had a 10 minute window where i could get to some websites but not all.  The websites that did come up seemed to load slow.   DSL (Century Link) changes your IP Address very frequently where Atlanticbb has only changed my IP address once in the past year.  If your a bittorrent user then Century Link is by far the better company to go with.  Bittorrent use on Atlantic Broadband is filtered and it works but no where near as well as it should.  You have to mess with your port forwarding and then it still never works perfectly. 

I will say that Century Link Internet drops normally during the day.  If your a home user that goes to work each day...

Online gaming is pretty much the same.  Ping times arent much different.  Speed differences I believe Century Link has more choices but overall not that much of a difference.

If you ask me which company i would recommend, I always says it doesnt matter but if one of these is very very important to you then.....  That should be a decision maker for you.  Sometimes the tv and phone is what is the difference maker. 

Overall ... I go with Atlanticbb because of the almost static IP address but a move to Century Link isnt bad because you get the Bittorent to work again.  Most users do not use Bittorrent so....
